Sandbox and BEE
Sandbox Projects is a certified Level 3 BEE contributor that has embraced the direction provided by the Department of Trade and Industry and is committed to programmes aimed at achieving a more equitable distribution of economic wealth and redressing past economic inequalities.
Our targeted transformation is aimed at ensuring that more historically disadvantaged individuals participate in the South African economy and specifically in the ICT Industry.
Our philosophy is based on a holistic approach to implementing BEE with a long-term strategy that aims to facilitate increased participation by enhancing our engagement with black individuals and black-owned companies as shareholders, customers, suppliers, staff and the broader community.
Corporate Social Investment
Sandbox recognizes its responsibility as a good corporate citizen towards its stakeholders and the communities within which it operates. Accordingly, Sandbox is committed to playing a role in the socio-economic development of a market democracy which is characterized by sustainable growth and profitability.
Corporate Social Investment, as a major cornerstone for good corporate citizenship, forms an integral part of Sandbox’s BEE transformation, corporate accountability and governance programmes and is a key component of Sandbox’s objectives.
Through employee volunteerism and the establishment of its CSI team, Sandbox has initiated socio-economic development programmes that are aimed at alleviating poverty, improving the level of education and promoting self-sufficiency and sustainability within our communities.
Out of the Box teaches skills to disadvantaged, unskilled and uneducated South Africans. Many of the people who come for training have children and have no place to leave them whilst receiving training at Out of the Box. Sandbox built a 20 Meter wooden train to enclose a part of the premises so that the children have a place to play and be stimulated while mom and dad are in training. We also built a vegetable garden with irrigation so that the people who come for training can be fed a wholesome meal that has been grown on the premises.
"Our lives have been re-arranged, brightened up and enhanced to the extreme!!!
The Montessori School will be skilling a child minder to look after the little ones and they will be safe and learning skills, whilst Mom and Dad are learning skills to enhance their lives!
We will be able to treat our learners to fresh vegetables and fruit, as well as supply our Saturday morning market to raise funds for the centre.
To each and every single person who helped to make the dreams come true...
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you Sandbox Projects!
With so much love and so much gratitude.
Thank you for making our world a much more beautiful and exciting place!
From Out of the Box!!!"
